Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday September 20 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa.
He was born on March 17, 1947, in Chicago, to Donald and Ardine (Graff) Harris.
Ken was employed by the Illinois Department of Corrections as an officer. He worked at the Joliet Correctional Center and Statesville Correctional Center before retiring at the rank Lieutenant. He was an avid outdoors man. He loved to hunt, fish and play golf.
He is survived by his daughter, Paula (Stanley) Page of Ottawa; a stepdaughter, Harriett Jane McCollum; three grandchildren: Kristen, Frank, and Katherine Woodhall; several great-grandchildren; and two nephews, Eric and Lance Harris.
Ken was preceded in death by his wife Harriet; his parents; and his twin brother, Keith Harris.
Ken has been laid to rest in the Garden of Hymns.
