Vance Grieves, 62, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013, at his home.
Private graveside services for Vance will be on Friday, December 27, 2013, at Oakwood Memorial Park. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Ottawa Funeral Home.
Vance was born June 13, 1951, in Ottawa, Illinois, to Edward and June (Westcott) Grieves. He worked for Caterpillar.
Vance is laid to rest in the Garden of Prayer.
Charles Shreve, 72, of Ottawa, died Saturday morning, December 21, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 27, in Epworth United Methodist Church in Ottawa with the Rev. Nancy Rethford, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 26, at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.
Mr. Shreve was born on March 3, 1941 in Ottawa, to Charles E. and Nellie M. (Armstrong) Shreve. He was a 1959 Graduate of Ottawa Township High School. He married Pat Spears on February 21, 1965 at the First Congregational Church in Ottawa. Chuck was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, the former Director of the Ottawa Civil Defense, a member of the United Methodist Men, and the Ottawa Elks Lodge. He was employed by the Bill Walsh Automotive Group for more than 30 years, serving as the Parts Manager and the Service Manager.
Charles is laid to rest in the Garden of Inspiration.
Nancy A. Farmer, 77, of Ottawa passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at Heritage Health Therapy and Rehabilitation, Streator.
Private family burial will be held at Oakwood Memorial Park, Ottawa. Cremation rites will be accorded. Solon-Telford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Born April 15, 1936 in Ottawa she was the daughter of Floyd and Elva (Huckins) Johnson. She married David R. Farmer on January 25, 1958 in Ottawa. He preceded her in death on February 7, 2013.

Grace Alice Bentz, 94, of Marseilles, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Pleasant View.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at First Church of the Nazarene in Ottawa with Pastor Milton Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park.
She was born December 27, 1918 in Chicago, to Edward and Florella (Moloney) Moorhead. In 1946, she married Wilbur Bentz of Chicago who preceded her in death in 2008.

Jonathon E. “John” Claggett, 27, of Streator, Illinois, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013.
Visitation for John will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at the Osborne-Nelson Funeral Home in Seneca. Funeral Services will be private. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park.
John was born March 9, 1986, in Morris, Illinois, to James Claggett and Karyn (Timmons) Schroeder. He worked as a landscaper.

Alan J. Streul, 66, of Peru, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013 at IVCH in Peru.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Peru with Rev. Marc Strand officiating. Private burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa at a later date with full military honors. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Streul was born on June 25, 1947 in Ottawa to Reynold and Sara (Wendt) Streul. He married Catherine McHenry on December 2, 1995 in Oglesby. He served proudly as a Marine during the Vietnam War. He worked as a diesel mechanic for Ryder Trucking in Peru and Princeton.
