Francis Schuett 1920-2014, Oakwood Memorial Park Ottawa IL

Francis Schuett, 93, of Ottawa died Saturday morning, August 30, at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 5, in St. Patrick Church in Ottawa with the Rev. Anthony Fevlo, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa where Full Military Rites will be conducted. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa. Liturgical Prayers will be recited at 6:30 p.m. with the Knight of Columbus in attendance.

Francis was born December 12, 1920 in Ottawa, to Herman and Elizabeth (Markey) Schuett. He was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School, and an Army Veteran of WWII. He served in Civilian Conservation Corps in Utah and Idaho.

He married Beverly Wilcox in 1947, she passed away in 1973. He married Patricia (O’Shea) Johnson in 1977, she preceded him in death in 2006.

He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, the Knight of Columbus, the Ottawa VFW, and American Legion Post 33.

Francis is laid to rest in the Garden of the Last Supper.

William Heyers 1929-2014, Oakwood Memorial Park Ottawa IL

William Heyers, 85, of Ottawa died on Thursday evening, August 28, at the LaSalle County Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 3, in the Mueller Funeral Home at Ottawa. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.

William was born on July 6, 1929 in Ottawa, to Vernon and Florence (Vaupel) Heyers. He was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School and L-P-O Junior College. He was employed as a truck mechanic at Scherer Freight Lines, then at Ottawa White Truck until his retirement.

He married Ruth Ann Cody on April 26, 1958, at the Harding United Methodist Church. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, and a founding member of the Illinois Valley Idlers. He enjoyed photography, tinkering with his cars, gardening, hiking, racing at the Oswego Race Strip and spending time with his family.

Willliam is laid to rest in the Garden of Psalms.

Ronald Anderson Jr. 1985-2014, Oakwood Memorial Park Ottawa IL

Ronald Anderson Jr., 29, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 am August 30, 2014 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor David E. Daniel officiating. Visitation will be Friday, August 29, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park.

Ronald was born May 10, 1985 in Ottawa, Illinois to Ronald Anderson Sr. and Carol Stricklin.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Peru YMCA. He worked for JamesHardie in Peru. He enjoyed sports and loved basketball. In honoring his wishes, Ronald was able to be an organ donor.

Ron is laid to rest in the Garden of the Last Supper.

Dorothy McCague 1932-2014, Oakwood Memorial Park Ottawa IL

Dorothy (Metzler) McCague, 82, of Ottawa, died on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Pleasant View.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Dorothy was born on July 31, 1932, in Ottawa to Howard and Pearl (Guyaux) Metzler.
She married Thomas McCague on March 10, 1952 in Ellicott City, Maryland. Dorothy worked as a nurses aid at Ottawa General Hospital from 1961-1984. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Dorothy is laid to rest in the Garden of Devotion.
