Donna Jean “Jeannie” Bastian, age 74, of Marseilles, passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 21st at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home with Reverend David M. Kipfer officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Taylor and Alex Morgan, Saje and Morgan Branson, Jesse Diaz and Donnie Harden, Jr.

Donna was born March 17, 1947 in Ottawa, a daughter of George “Lucky” and Florence (Meaney) Harden. She married Larry L. Bastian October 15, 1981 in Ottawa. Surviving are her husband, Larry; children, Belinda Bogren, Roscoe (Emily) Morgan and Tina (Wynn) Sohm; and grandchildren, Amanda (Jeremy) Wheeler, Jesse Diaz, Jill Dunn, Taylor, Alex and Bryant Morgan, Emma, Abby and Anna Whalen, Saje (Matti) Branson and Morgan Branson; and several great-grandchildren. She also leaves brothers, her twin, Donald (Sherri) Harden, Harvey (Patty) Harden, Robert (Ronna) Harden and George (Gaylene) Harden; and a sister, Ellen (John) Smothers. Jeannie was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Buck Bogren; brothers, Dennis, Lyle and Russell Harden; and sisters, Carol Harmon and Charmaine Kelly.

Jeannie was of the Catholic faith. She retired as a CNA from LaSalle County Nursing Home and was a member of the Women of the Moose. Jeannie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed travelling, going on cruises and having dinner with her retired co-workers.

Donna has been laid to rest in the Garden of the Last Supper.
