Margaret Ann Mey, 93, of Dixon, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Heritage Square in Dixon, IL. She worked at the VA Hospital in Saginaw, MI; KSB Hospital in Medical Records; Connecticut Mutual Insurance Co; and GRS Supply in Grand Rapids, MI, prior to her retirement.

Ann was born February 6, 1928, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of John and Edna (Heaton) Curran. She married James Mey on August 12, 1955, in Saginaw, MI. He preceded her in death on December 2, 2005. Ann was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Dixon. Ann enjoyed playing the organ, music, dancing and traveling; but most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her, son, Michael (Teresa) Mey of Dixon; daughter, Pamela (James) Arnould of Ottawa; three grandchildren, Jenny (Philip) Rodriguez, Sarah (Tim) Shevlin, Tyler (Lauren) Mey; and five great-grandchildren, Marleigh Rodriguez, Raegan Rodriguez, Hudson Mey, Kyle (Christy) Shevlin, Sarah Shevlin; and two great great grandchildren, Hudson Shevlin, Madison Shevlin, .

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John “Jack” Curran, and sister, Mildred Smith.

Per Ann’s wishes a private burial of cremated remains will be at Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa, IL at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded.
