Leatrice “Joyce” Bohannon, 85, of Marseilles, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Pleasant View in Ottawa.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa, with Rev. Duane Kaufman, officiating. Private burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home. Due to current State of Illinois guidelines, face coverings will be required.

Joyce was born on April 28, 1936 in Ottawa, to Vernon C. and Lucille (Lohr) Hadley. She was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School. Joyce married Richard D. Bohannon on August 12, 1956 at the Evangelical United Methodist Church, in Ottawa. She enjoyed traveling, needlework, and loved to garden.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; two children, Jeffrey H. Bohannon of Kings, IL and Susan B. (Karl) Kjolhede of Steamboat Springs, CO; five grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, Vincent Hadley; a sister, JoAnne Mason; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Vernon Hadley; and two sisters, Betty Walsh and Margret Eastman.

She was laid to rest in the Garden of Psalms.
