Carol Stohr, 74, of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.

Carol was born September 17, 1947, in Ottawa, IL, to Alva and Dorothy (Smith) Warren. She married Calvin Edward Casey on March 27, 1965. He passed away on October 11, 2009. She then married Wesly Stohr on June 25, 2010.

She was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and prior to retirement, she was the activity director at Ottawa Pavilion. Carol had more style than anyone we know, she loved Jesus and her family like it was no one’s business. She made the best Jello ever. Family get together’s won’t be the same without you, Mom, Grandma, and Granny but don’t worry we will keep your Yahtzee winning streak going by rolling for you.

She is survived by her husband, Wesly Stohr; her four daughters, Karen (John) Collins, Chris (Timothy) Harris, Cathy (Joseph) Wilson, and Connie (Wayne) Daugherty; her son, Timothy (Tina) Casey; her grandchildren, Timothy (Laura) Collins, Kaycee (Zachary) Collins, Tyler (Ashley) Harris, Victoria Harris, Maribeth Wilson, Michael (Jessica) Wilson, Katelyn (Ryan) Wilson, Jonathon (Jordan) Wilson-Holliman, Calvin (Ethan) Wilson, Carley Baudino, Carter Baudino, Seth Daugherty, Sean Daugherty, Samantha (Jordan) Thompson, Daniel Casey, Joseph Casey, Mathew Casey, and Tiara Casey; her great-grandchildren, Lucy and Conor Obodzinski, Reese Harkins, Hudson Collins, and William Wilson, her sister, Barb Addis, and many nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Calvin Casey; four brothers, Donald, Robert, George, and Howard Warren and one sister, Lois Warren.

Pallbearers will be Timothy Collins, Michael Wilson, Joseph Casey, Daniel Casey, Carter Baudino, and Joshua Stohr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mathew Casey, Jonathon Wilson-Holliman, Calvin Wilson, and Joseph Addis.

Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donors’ choice, Servant’s Heart or Pads Homeless Shelter.

Visitation will be from 9:00 until 11:00 am Tuesday at Ottawa Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 11:30 am Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church, with Rev. David Daniel officiating.

She was laid to rest at Oakwood Memorial Park in the Shrine of rest in the Sanctuary of Seasons.
