Thomas C. Hoxie, age 55 of Marseilles, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2014 at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Reverend Duane Kaufman officiating. A dinner will immediately follow at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Ottawa. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Thomas was born October 26, 1958 in Ottawa, the son of Charles and Barbara (Hellman) Hoxie. He married Denise Gedye March 23, 1996 in Ottawa. Surviving are his wife, Denise of Marseilles; his mother, Barbara Hoxie of Ottawa; his children, Christopher (Brandy) Hoxie of Coal City and Jessica Jones of Seneca; his grandchildren, Michael and Alexis Hoxie, Emmalee Hill-Hoxie, and Braiden Jones; two brothers, Robert (Leslie) Waggoner of Elburn, IL and James Hoxie of Marseilles; sister, Lynn (Joe) Casassa of Chesapeake, VA; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
Thomas was a pipefitter with Local 597.
He was laid to rest at Oakwood Memorial Park in the Shrine of Rest in the Sanctuary of Seasons.
