Janice L. Hickey, age 78, of Grand Ridge, passed away April 28, 2021 at Ottawa Pavilion.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 7, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home with Tom Fleming officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Janice was born November 30, 1942, the daughter of Lawrence and Ruth (Mathes) Mattes. She married George “Tom” Hickey Jr. on July 22, 1989. He preceded her in death on April 4, 2015. She is survived by her children, Jon Briel and Michele (Charlie) Frandin; step-children, Kim (Donald) Schmitt and George Hickey III, and seven grandkids. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Eleanor Nodland, Marilyn Callahan, Ruthie Alleman, and Helen Simonson.
Janice collected seraphim angels, precious moments, and birdhouses. She enjoyed camping at the White Oak Campground in Utica with her husband. More than anything she loved her family and will be dearly missed.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Ridge Volunteer Fire Department or Ottawa High School Booster Club.
She was laid to rest at Oakwood Memorial Park in the Garden of Prayer.
