Irene Ora Parks, 92, of East Moline, died Sept. 8, 2017, peacefully at home.
A memorial service will be noon Saturday, Sept. 16, at Silvis United Methodist Church with a uncheon will follow.
Schroder Mortuary, Silvis, is assisting the family with arrangements. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park, Ottawa IL at a later date. Memorials may be made to the church, food pantry or charity of choice.
Irene was born July 18, 1925, in Tenwood, Okla., the daughter of James and Hazel Padget Haddock. She was married to Ray Parks Sept. 19, 1943, in St. Charles, Mo. He died in May 1999.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed golfing and spending time with her grandchildren. She attended Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline.
Survivors include her children, Janice (Larry) Nahrgang, East Moline, Jeanette (James) Michael, Oglesby, Ill., and Michael (Suzanna) Parks, Portland, Ore.; grandchildren, Wendy (Alvaro) Castillo, Jennifer (Michael) Engholm, Jeremy Nahrgang, Ray (Kathleene) Monterastelli, Shannon (Dan) Stoneking and Sarah (James) Kinard; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband, parents, seven siblings and a grandson.
Irene has been laid to rest in the Garden of Hymns.
