Althea Jane Albertus, 95, formerly of Marseilles, passed away Sunday May 13, 2018 at Sandwich Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Rev. David Ufkes officiating.  Visitation will from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa.

She was born November 20, 1922 in Helmar, IL to Eugene and Alta (Nelson) Pierson.  In 1940, she married Walter Albertus of Ottawa who preceded her in death in 2009.

Althea was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She and her husband owned and operated the Marseilles Cleaners and she was employed by Borg Warner in Ottawa until her retirement.

She is survived by two daughters, Debra (William) Haag of Sandwich, and Denise Jackson of New Mexico; two sons, Kent of Manassas, VA and Merrill (Wini) of Carol Stream, IL; one sister-in-law, June Pierson, of Vancouver, B.C.; 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one sister, Marjorie Garrison; one brother, Robert Pierson; and one grandson, Aaron Albertus.

Memorials may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Althea has been laid to rest in the Garden of the Last Supper.
