Barbara Reimers, 62, of St. Charles, former of Ottawa died Thursday morning, March 22, at Delnor Hospital in Geneva. Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon, on Thursday, March 29, in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd at Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa with Rev. Bill Baker, a cousin, officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services. Arrangements are through the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.
Barbara was born on Nov. 17, 1955 in Ottawa, to Fred and Betty (Hamilton) Reimers. She was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School, Class of ‘73, and received her B. A. Degree from Illinois State University. She was the U. S. Sales Manager for the Cayman Islands for 32 years. She loved to travel, loved the theater, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by one brother, Richard (Deborah) Reimers, of Effingham, and a one niece, Laura Reimers, and a life-long friend, Michelle Bradley.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of the Cayman Islands.
Pallbearers will be: Jim Reimers, Gene Townsend, Tom Ludington, Jeff Ginter, and Doug Pearson.
Barbara has been laid to rest in the Garden of Inspiration.
