Cheryl Warren, 72, of Ottawa, died on Thursday night, November 16, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Funeral services will be held at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa, with Rev. Corey Krengiel, of St. Columba Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Cheryl was born on January 22, 1945 in LaSalle to Richard and Pearl (Kruswicki) Nielson. She was a graduate of L-P High School. Cheryl married George N. Warren on April 27, 1963 in Peru. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ottawa. Cheryl was a local antique dealer and knew a great deal when she saw one. She was an avid watcher of the TV show American Pickers. She loved to shop at Goodwill. Cheryl and her husband got coffee at McDonald’s every morning for over 50 years and even drove to Utica while the Ottawa location was under construction.  Cheryl had many passions, including, her strong faith, taking pictures and playing the piano, which she could do by ear. She loved the holidays and loved life, but what Cheryl loved more than anything was her family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, George, a daughter, Heidi (Tom) Reynolds, of Ottawa, a son, George C. Warren, of Ottawa, 3 grandchildren, Tommy (Tammie) Reynolds, Jonathan (Katie Elko) Reynolds, and Christian Reynolds, a great granddaughter, Emma Lynn Reynolds, a brother Richard Nielson, of Princeton, and a sister Vivian Kallner, of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Brenda Stone, and Sandra Kramer.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, nephews, and great nephews.

Memorials may be directed to Marquette Academy.

Cheryl has been laid to rest in the Garden of Prayer.
