Kathy Burress, 56, of Ottawa passed away peacefully at her home in Ottawa on Saturday morning, April 15, 2017. Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, in the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa with the Rev. William Clark, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home.
Kathy was born February 18, 1961 in Ottawa, to Oatley and Barbara (Miskell) Burress. She was the Manager of Thornton’s in Ottawa.
She is survived by her daughter Rikki Alsvig, of Ottawa, 6 brothers and sisters, William (Brenda) Burress, of Ottawa, Mary (Daniel) Biba, of Marseilles,, Rick (Kathi) Burress of Marseilles, Dorothy Dale, of Ottawa, David (Gail) Burress, of Marseilles, and Kevin Burress, of Ottawa.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara and Oatley Burress, maternal grandparents, Hulet and Hiddel Miskell, paternal grandparents, Riley and Cordia Burress, and the love of her life, Rick Alsvig.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Dale, Troy Dale, Bret Burress, Sam Burress, Dan Biba, and Bryce Burress.
Kathy has been laid to rest in the Garden of Prayer.
