Donald Duane Tipton, 81, of Ottawa, died on Saturday afternoon, April 8, 2017 at his home. Private graveside services will be held at Oakwood Memorial Park, where Full Military Rites will be accorded. Rev. Cheri Stewart, Pastor of First United Methodist Church in Ottawa will officiate. Mueller Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Donald was born on December 24, 1935 in Streator, to Granvle and Ruth (Klehm) Tipton. He was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School class of 1955. Donald was a US Army veteran, and served during the Cold War. He was a member of the Ottawa Moose Lodge.
He is survived by a daughter, Darsi (Keith) Arwood, of Utica, 3 granddaughters, Ashton, Skylar, and McKennon, and a sister, Norma Glogowski, of Ottawa.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Ottawa Moose.
Donald has been laid to rest in the Garden of the Last Supper.
