Helen A. Klingerman, 97, of Ottawa, Illinois passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Rivershores Care Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at St. Columba Church with Rev. David Kipfer officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Monday, December 19, 2016 at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park.
Helen was born September 21, 1919 in Ottawa, Illinois Frank and Frances (Ellwart) Koenig. She married Edward Klingerman on June 28, 1946; he passed away September 11, 1999. She retired from Borg Warner and was a member of St. Columba Church and the Moose.
She is survived by her sons, Edward Klingerman of LaSalle, Robert (Debbie) Klingerman of Cornell, James Klingerman of LaSalle; her daughter, Mary Kay Gromm of Summerfield, FL; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law Getta Klingerman of Morris.
She is preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Donald Klingerman and Kevin Klingerman; two brothers, Oscar Koenig and Carl Koenig; two sisters, Margaret Iverson and Mary Leki; and her granddaughter; and her son-in-law, Lloyd Gromm.
Memorials may be directed to her family.
Helen has been laid to rest in the Garden of Prayer.
