Marie Hathaway, 102, of Ottawa, died on Friday night, November 4, 2016 at the Ottawa Pavilion.

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa with the Rev. David Ufkes, Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ottawa officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa.

Marie was born on March 22, 1914 in Minneapolis to Carl J. and Carrie O. (Carlson) Paulson. She married Ralph T. Hathaway on October 31, 1942 in Memphis, Missouri. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Clara Naomi Circle. She was a charter member and Past-President of the Ottawa Business and Professional Women. She earned a ten-year pin working for the American Red Cross blood program. Marie was a graduate of Brown’s Business College. She was the office manager for many years at Block and Kuhl and was later employed at Carson Pirie Scott in Ottawa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, on July 20, 1983 and a brother, Leonard M. Paulson.

She is survived by a niece and nephews.

Marie has been laid to rest in the Garden of the Ten Commandments.
