Corinne Doogan, 92, of Ottawa, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, October 29, 2016 at LaSalle County Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Ottawa with Pastor David Ufkes officiating. Burial will be Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to the time of service at the church. Arrangements are through the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.

Corinne was born January 11, 1924 in Centralia, Illinois to Harry and Grace (Beale) Goff. She married John R. “Dick” Doogan on May 8, 1948 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Ottawa. She was a graduate of LaSalle Peru Township High School class of 1941. Corinne worked at the Seneca Shipyards as a telephone operator and later worked in the office of Dr. O.J. Miller. She retired in 1985 as the assistant president at the Ottawa National Bank. Corinne was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Ottawa, Lydia Circle, and Trinity Lutheran Church Women

She is survived by a daughter, Christine (Frank) George of Chillicothe, one son, John R. (Mary Lou) Doogan, of Cary, IL, 4 grandchildren: Matthew R. and Timothy A. George, and John R., and Christian Brady Doogan, 10 great-grandchildren, one sister, Frances Woodward of Ottawa, and one brother, Frank (Gretchen) Schlosser of Port Charlotte, FL.

She was preceded in death by her husband on March 27, 1998, parents, step-father, Frank Schlosser, a grand-daughter Cori Jean doogan, and a sister Helen M. Matthew.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church and OSF St. Elizabeth Hospice.

Corinne has been laid to rest in the Garden of Prayer.
