Bradley R. Young, 61, of Ottawa, died Tuesday, May 12, at Rivershores Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Marseilles. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, in the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa, with Rev. John Paul Robins, officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday. Inurnment will be at a later date in Oakwood Memorial Park.
Brad was born on October 8, 1953, in Ottawa to Robert and Norma (Lenski) Young. He was a 1971 graduate of Ottawa Township High School, where he was a member of the football team. He worked as a drug and alcohol counselor for more than 30 years.
He is survived by 5 children, April, Emily, Amanda, Silver, and Joanna Young, and 1 grandchild, R. J. Rutherford.
Brad was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Blair and Robbie Young.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
Brad has been laid to rest in the Garden of Psalms.
