Dorothy Slovinski, 89, of Ottawa, died on Sunday morning, May 1, at the Ottawa Pavilion.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, in St. Patrick Church, with the Rev. Tony Fevlo, Pastor, officiating.  Interment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Oakwood Memorial Park.  Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Mueller Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born on October 1, 1926 in Ottawa to David and Sue (Salvati) Cunningham.

She married John J. Slovinski on July 3, 1948 in Joliet.

She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Slovinski and Karen (Larry) Christensen, both of Ottawa, one grandson, Steven (Michelle) Christensen, and 2 great-granddaughters, Isabella and Quinn.

She was preceded in death by her husband John, on February 25, 2007, her mother and step-father, Sue and Solly Mallace, and her father David Cunningham.

Pallbearers will be:  Larry and Steven Christensen, Jerry Slovinski, Dave Jordan, and Dustin and Wesley Cook.

Memorials may be directed to: St. Patrick Church, Marquette Academy, or the Activities Department at Ottawa Pavilion.

Dorothy has been laid to rest in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Sanctuary of Peace.
