Juanita D. Baratta, 89, of Mendota, passed away Thursday January 14, at LaSalle County Nursing Home.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p. m. Saturday January 16 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. Memorial visitation will be 12 Noon to 2 p. m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park at a later date.
Juanita was born September 2, 1926 in Greensburg, KY to Coakley and Christina (Coffey) Ferrell. She married Philip Baratta of Peru who preceded her in death.
She is survived by three daughters, JoAnn (Nick) Engel of Ottawa, Grace Watland of Ottawa, and Christina Baratta of Mendota; one son, Sam Baratta of Peru; 9 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one sister, Elizabeth Kehoe of Marseilles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Gloria Johnson; two brothers, Wilbur and Jay Ferrell; and two sisters, Mabel and Marjorie.

Juanita is laid to rest in the Garden of the Last Supper.
