Louis Perles, 81, died peacefully in his sleep of kidney disease on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ottawa, Illinois.
He is survived by Mitzi, his wife of 54 years, daughter Julie (Mark) Fisher, son Andrew, two grandchildren, Laurel and Daniel Fisher and three brothers.
People enjoyed Lou’s company because of his wonderful sense of humor. He loved playing cards, especially his weekly pinochle group that met for many years. Lou was a licensed private pilot and a member of the Ashland County Pilots’ Association. He served in the United States Army. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa with military rites.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to OSF Hospice in Ottawa, Illinois or the charity of your choice.
Louis is laid to rest in the Garden of Prayer.
