Freda M. Schomas, 90, of Ottawa, died on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the Ottawa Pavilion.
Private burial will take place at Oakwood Memorial Park. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home.
Freda was born on August 11, 1925, in Ottawa, to Louis and Freda (Feurer) Schomas. Freda was a graduate of the Ottawa Township High School. After graduation she became a bookkeeper. Her career lasted 44 years. She worked at Corbus Drug Store from 1943 to 1965 and Ottawa Township High School from 1965 to 1987 at which time she retired.
Freda enjoyed her privacy and was very meticulous in both her personal and professional life. She was very helpful and interested in the life of her extensive family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her brother, Mervin Schomas, of Marseilles, nieces, Colleen Maggi, of FL, Lora Burgwald, of Ottawa, Linda Shamburg, of Ottawa, and Susan Denton, of Rapp, TX, and multiple generations of great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Louis and Merle Schomas, and a sister, Shirley Schomas.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
Freda is laid to rest in the Garden of the Last Supper.
