Shari Carlson, 54, of Ottawa passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria.
Her funeral service will be 10:00 am Monday, June 29, 2015 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Duane Kaufman officiating. Her visitation will be 2:00 – 5:00 Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Ottawa Funeral Home. She will be buried at Oakwood Memorial Park.
Shari was born January 18, 1961 in Ottawa, Illinois to Jack and Evelyn (Eskridge) Carter. She marred Harold Carlson July 12, 1983 in Ottawa. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was an avid reader. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her loving husband, Harold; four children, Morgan Carlson, Lacy (Dale Swanson) Carlson, John (Jamie) Carlson of Ottawa, and Darren (Ashley Olesen) Carlson; seven grandchildren, Reagan Carlson, Riley Carlson, Xander Swanson, Addyson Rosales, Blake Carlson, Lauren Carlson, and William Carlson; six sisters, Wanda Probus, Millie (Norm) Lewis, Linda (Rich) Gretencord, Delores Walgren, Betty (Everett) Kennedy, and Darlene (Wayne) Davis; one brother, Gerald (Tina) Carter; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Fadel Abbas; two brothers, Kenneth and Robert Carter; and her father and mother-in-law, William and Imogene Carlson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to her family.
Shari is laid to rest in the Garden of Psalms.
