Linda M. Hansen, age 61, of Dixon, died Friday December 12, 2014, at Aperion Care of Amboy. She was born June 5, 1953, in Ottawa, IL, the daughter of Orville and Delphine (Waggoner) Smith.
She owned and operated A Head of Times Beauty Salon. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon, the church RCIA Group, Christian Solidarity World Wide, and Emmaus Journey Group. She is listed in the Who’s Who of Professional Women.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include 3 sons Gary (Angela) Hansen of Alaska, Larry (Shawn) Hansen of Dixon, Tyee (Aimee) Hansen of Amboy; 12 grandchildren Natalie, Britany, Zackarey, Clayton, Alex, Randall, Devon, Kaitlyn, Kiarrah, Eliasz, Zhyler, and Lynorah; 1 great-grandson Ayden; sister Cheri (Dan) Foley of Indianapolis, IN; brother Ron (Connie) Weishaar of Cisco.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday December 17, 2014, beginning with a 9:30 AM Prayer Service in the Jones Funeral Home in Dixon, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick Church in Dixon, with Rev. Bernard Sehr, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 PM in Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa, IL. Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 16, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in the Jones Funeral Home in Dixon. The Rosary will be recited at 3:30 PM. A memorial has been established to RCIA at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Linda is laid to rest in the Garden of the Ten Commandments.
