Kenneth Lee Jennings, 72, of Hilliard FL went home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2014.
Kenneth Lee Jennings was a great family man from the gorgeous hills of Southern West Virginia. He was the very much loved husband of Donna Lee Hill Jennings, a flatlander from Ottawa, Illinois. Ken was not a four year College graduate but had two associate degrees and much learning from the school of hard knocks. He was so very loved by a large family. He served his country in the US Army with assignments in Ft Knox KY, South Korea and Texas and ended his time as a 100% Disabled Veteran. His careers included; Deputy Sheriff for Allegheny Co., VA in Covington VA and Security Guard for the National Mine Health and Safety Academy in Beaver WV. He attended Dabney S. Lancaster C.C. and received two Associate Degrees.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years; Donna Lee Hill Jennings, daughters; Patti Leigh Jennings Clendenin, Diana Jourdan and Susan Jennings Sheppard, son; William David Jennings, 16 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 7 nieces and 9 nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; Kenneth Jennings, mother; Daisy Mitchem Jennings Gunther, brothers; Robbie Gunther and Russell Maynard Jennings, and his in-laws; Thomas R. & Mildred Hill.
A memorial service will be held August 9, 2014 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church located at 541668 US HWY 1 Callahan Florida 32011 and it was Kenneth and Donnas wish that blue jean attire be worn to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions be made to Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church located at 541668 US HWY 1 Callahan FL 32011.
