Dorothy Alice “Dot” Majcina, 87, of DeKalb, Illinois, died Friday, July 25, 2014, at Pine Acres Rehab & Living Center, DeKalb.
Born July 15, 1927, in Ottawa, Illinois, the daughter of Fred and Lucille Cunico, Dorothy married Raymond P. Majcina on September 30, 1950.
Dot and Ray were the owners and operators of Big Ray’s Drive-In on East Lincoln Highway in DeKalb for more than 30 years.
The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb, with Fr. Dean Russell of St. Mary Catholic Church, DeKalb, officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Anderson Funeral Home, DeKalb.
Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 31, at Oakwood Memorial Park Cemetery, Ottawa.
Dorothy is laid to rest in the Garden of Psalms.
