Gerald L. Fleming, 62, of Ottawa, passed away on September 9, 2024 at Goldwater Care in Marseilles.

Gerald was born on December 24, 1961 in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Larry and Edna (Manning) Fleming. Gerald served his country in the U.S. Navy and after his enlistment went on to get his certificates in hydraulics and welding. He worked for Vactor and later Marquette Steel as a welder. Gerald attended the Salvation Army and was also an avid fisherman.

Gerald is survived by his mother, Edna Fleming; children, Leah Fleming, Lindsey (Rick) Freschi, Alisha Crockett, Ashley (Scott) Limberg, and Gerald (Ann) Fleming Jr.; siblings, Darrell (Denise) Fleming, Phillis (Tom) Lyons, Diana (Randy) Stiles, and Lawrence (Susie) Fleming Jr.; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Fleming.

Gerald was laid to rest in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in the Seasons corridor at Oakwood Memorial Park.
