Mabel Louise Devlin, Oakwood Memorial Park, Ottawa, IL

Mabel Louise Devlin, 99, of Round Rock, TX, formerly of Illinois, passed away Monday, July 29, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

A committal service will be held on Monday August, 5, at 11:00am at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Oakwood Memorial Park. 

Mabel was born September 22, 1924, in Beardstown, IL, to William and Grace (Taylor) Zillion. She married William Bernard (Bernie) Devlin on July 19, 1941 in Palmyra, Missouri. Together they spent 62 years of marriage until his passing on November 22, 2003.

Mabel was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed reading in her spare time and caring for her home.

She is survived by her son, William (Pam) Bernard Devlin Jr.; her daughters, Patricia (Don) Lynx, Mary Carroll, Kathy Releford, and Kara Kovacs; eleven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, Grace and William; her husband, Bernie; her brother, Bill; her sister, Mary Ellen; and her sons-in-law, John Carroll, Edward Carroll, and Robert Kovacs.
