Lorence G. Davis, 64, of Ottawa, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa, with Rev. Duane Kaufman, officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Larry was born on September 10, 1955 in Ottawa to Garner and Adda (Zimmerman) Davis. He married Ruth J. Ceja on June 30, 1979 in Grand Ridge. He was employed as a foreman at Combined Roofing in West Chicago, and a member of Local 11 Roofers.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth, a daughter, Ashley (Nikki Robbins) Davis, of Ottawa, and Nick (Tina) Davis, of Marseilles, 2 grandchildren, Rylee and Raegan Davis, and 2 sisters Jeanie Smith and Loretta Feldman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and 11 brothers and sisters.

He was laid to rest in the Garden of the Last Supper.

Gail Meyers, age 60, of Ottawa, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020 at her home.

Gail was born June 11, 1959 in Ottawa, Illinois, a daughter of Edward and Mildred (Jett) Meyers. She is survived by her mother, Mildred of Ottawa; sister, Crystal (Dan) Schott of Ottawa, cousin, Mary Eichelkraut of Ottawa, and numerous other cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Meyers.

Gail graduated from Ottawa High School and moved to Denver, Colorado. There she attended the Colorado Institute of Art and later worked as a graphic artist for many years. She loved her family and will be missed.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27 at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home with Reverend Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

She was laid to rest in the Garden of Prayer.
