Stanley A. Baker of Coralville, Iowa, passed away peacefully on January 30 at Solon Retirement Village in Solon, Iowa.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa, with Rev. Dr. Fred Fullerton, officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, at the funeral home.
Stan was born on October 28, 1942, to Mary and Edwin Baker in Ottawa, Illinois, where he spent most of his life working on the family farm. He served in the National Guard and on boards for the Red Cross, the First Congregational Church, and Freedom Township. He married Judy Fullerton on February 13, 1971, and they shared 54 wonderful years together. Stan took great pride in his family and never met a stranger. A sports enthusiast, he was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. When his daughter attended the University of Iowa, he quickly became a Hawkeye, too. In retirement, he and Judy moved to Coralville, Iowa, where they enjoyed many years attending games in Kinnick Stadium and Carver-Hawkeye Arena. He was a member of the Quarterback Club and the I-Club’s Kinnick Society.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Baker, of Coralville, IA, two daughters, Amy (Mike) Bellowe and Jennifer Baker, and five grandchildren – Maya, Moa, Ava, Edwin, and Lea. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.

Stanley was laid to rest in the Garden of Inspiration at Oakwood Memorial Park.
