William R. Dooley, Jr., 65, of Ottawa, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.

A private service will be held at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Oakwood Memorial Park. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.

William was born on May 4, 1959 in Ottawa to William Robert and Norma (Wenninger) Dooley, Sr. He was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School, class of 1977. William was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He loved his family dearly and was always concerned with the welfare of his sisters, brothers-in-law, nephews, and his great nieces and nephews. William was an enthusiastic sports fan especially when listening to games on his radio.

He is survived by three sisters, Diane (William) Plank of Findlay, IL, Patricia (Rick) Sarver of Adams, WI, and Cheryl Dooley of Hamilton, MT; six nephews, Brian (Brande) Plank, Neil (Ashley) Plank, Michael (Ashley) Sarver, Timothy (Tracy) Sarver, Christopher Sarver, and Nicholas Sarver; 12 great nieces and nephews, Wil, Eli, Evan, Ella, and Ethan Plank and Katherine, Lucas, Charlotte, Margaret, Korbin, Nolan, and Brooks Sarver; and his Aunt Jeanne (Dooley) Modesitt.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
