Adam Walter Koziel, 53, of Ottawa, passed away surrounded by his loving family Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
Adam was born October 21, 1971 in Chicago, Illinois, a son of Walter and Lottie (Zagata) Koziel. On October 8, 1994, he married Pamela McCombs at Saints Cyril and Methodius Parish in Lemont, IL. Adam is survived by his adoring wife, Pamela and his sons, Alexander Adam Koziel and Maxwell John Koziel of Ottawa. He also leaves his parents, Walter and Lottie Koziel of Lemont, IL as well as a brother, Mark (Teresa) Koziel of Lemont, IL and numerous nieces and nephews. Adam was preceded in death by a son, Aaron Wade Koziel and a sister, Julia Koziel.
Adam attended grade school at Saints Cyril and Methodius School and graduated from Lemont High School in Lemont. He had a passion for cooking which led him to pursue a degree in culinary arts. He had been employed as chef and kitchen manager at Court Street Pub in Ottawa. Adam was a loyal fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and would also cheer for the Raiders! The past few years, Adam attended Crossbridge Community Church in Ottawa. Adam treasured the time spent with his loving family and his faithful German Shepherd, Luna.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, October 26th at Gladfelter-Roetker Funeral Home with Pastor Sherry Stevenson officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, October 25th at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Zytnowski, Jonathon Zytnowski, Matthew Koziel, Adam Lesnicki, James Duda and Rich Mszal.

Adam was laid to rest at Oakwood Memorial Park in the Garden of Prayer.
