Ruth Naomi (Robinett) Lilley, 98, formerly of Ottawa, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at home, in Bourbonnais.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday December 30, 2022 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa, with Rev. Sherry Stevenson officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, at the funeral home.
Ruth was born on February 27, 1924 in Ottawa to Harry Robert and Lillie Florence (Johnson) Robinett. She was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School. Ruth married James Charles Lilley on November 29, 1948 in Dalton, GA. She was a member of Crossbridge Community Church.
Ruth is survived by four children, Gail (Vernon) Mitchell of Bourbonnais, IL, Kevin (Gay) Lilley of San Diego, CA, Karen (Todd) Peters of Bourbonnais, IL, and Janet (Jim) Phelps of Bourbonnais, IL; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a brother, Robert (Charlotte) Robinett of Ely, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Jane Jenkins, Thelma Davis, Harriet Thorson, and Mae Flicker; and a brother, Edward Robinett.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Mitchell, Justin North, David Lilley, Johnathan Lilley, Andrew Phelps, David Falkenhan, and Ilija Stojcevski.
Memorials may be directed to Crossbridge Community Church or Uplifted Care Hospice, Bourbonnais, IL.
Ruth has been laid to rest in the Garden of Inspiration at Oakwood Memorial Park.
