Beverly (Damman) Melland, 97, of Ottawa, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Pleasant View.
A private graveside service will be held at Oakwood Memorial Park. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.
Mrs. Melland was born on November 5, 1924 in Ottawa to Herman and Ann (Eichelkraut) Damman. She married Harry E. Melland on Januayr 27, 1944. He preceded her in death on March 10, 1981. She graduated from Ottawa Township High School class of 1942. Beverly was employed at Buckner and O’Toole, LaSalle County Court House, and the LaSalle County Title Company for many years. She was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church, in Ottawa.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, Marsha Killelea, Mary Lou Kudlica, Barbara Martin, Janet Stortz, Hal Finkle, Dale Finkle and Martin Stewart; and long-time friend, Stephanie Gualandri.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry; a brother, LaVern Damman; a sister in-law, Mary Damman; brother-in-law, Frank Stewart; and two nephews, Sam and Terry Finkle.
A special thanks to niece Marsha and her husband Kevin Killelea for being such loving caregivers.
She was laid to rest in the Garden of Hymns.
