Norma Jean Gianoli, 86, of Peoria, formerly of Ottawa died Monday at her home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 17, in the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa with the Rev. Duane Kaufman, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service, on Friday, at the funeral home.
Norma was born on October 17, 1931 in Ottawa to Charles and Nina (Huss) Moore. She was a graduate of Ottawa Township High School, received her B.A. from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, and her nursing degree from St. Francis Nursing School, in Peoria. Norma was a nurse for over 50 years. She was married to Donald Gianoli, he died in January 1981.
She is survived by 4 sons, Charles “Jay” (Kathy) Eyster, of Peoria, Jerry (Deborah) Eyster, of Peoria, James (Rhonda) Eyster, of Gilbert, AZ, and Jeff (Barb) Eyster, of Rochelle, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and two step children, Bob Gianoli, and Diane Cullen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald, a great granddaughter, and a step son Mike Gianoli.
Memorials may be directed to Shriner’s Hospital.
Norma has been laid to rest in the Garden of the Last Supper.
