EARLVILLE — Steven J. Libner, 49, of Earlville, passed away Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago as the result of an auto accident.
He was born Dec. 1, 1961 in Chicago, the son of Melvin and Helen (Schneider) Libner.
Steve was employed by Local 150. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting and walking down the lane with his dog, Hunter. He loved playing with his grandchildren and just being outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Cheri (Warren) Libner of Earlville; his children, Nicole Reddington, Megan Libner, Steven Libner, Travis Libner, Tim (Amy) Stangland, Crystal (Eddie) Kelly and Bobbie Ollom; 12 grandchildren, Connor, Payden, Garrett, TJ, Daina, Destiny, Eli, Dakota, Ksyshaun, Nitsaya, Nyonna and Logan; his brothers and sisters, Keith Libner, Matt (Carol) Libner, Wade (Kelly) Libner, Cheryl Libner, Teri (Pat) Richards and Jeanette Roberts; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at Hanley-Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Earlville with the Rev. Del Keilman officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa.
