Robert Roth, 82, of Ottawa, died on Friday, April 6, 2018 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park, where full military rites will be accorded by the American Legion Post 33 Veteran’s Group Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa. Liturgical prayers will be at 3:45 p.m.

Robert was born on June 29, 1935 in Ottawa to John and Rose B. (Coleman) Roth. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He married Shirley Ann LeBeau on August 3, 1957 at St. Mary’s Church in Naplate. Bob was an electrician before his retirement. He was a member of St. Patrick Church and the Ottawa Moose. Bob had been an avid golfer and loved to hunt, fish, and travel.

He is survived by 3 children, Pam and (Chuy) Velazquez, of San Diego, CA, Bob Roth, of Dallas, TX, and Peggy (Keith) Chock, of Honolulu, HI, 5 grandchildren, Garrick Chock, of Seattle, Taryn Chock, L.A., Quinn (Jeremy Talbo) Chock, of Honolulu, Emily Velazquez, of San Diego, and Andrew (Viri Guzman) Velazquez, of San Diego, 1 great grandson, Isaiah Velazquez, a brother, William Roth, of LaSalle, and a loving companion, Lorraine Gayan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Shirley, on January 22, 2012, 2 brothers, Joe and Jack Roth, and a sister Mary Schmidt. Pallbearers will be, Garrick and Keith Chock, Andrew Velazquez, Ernie Mitchell, Ed Weber, and Dan Bretag.

Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick’s Church.

Robert has been laid to rest in the Garden of Prayer.
