Gerald (Jerry) Kerwin, 72, formerly of Naplate, passed away on January 12, 2011 at his home in Apache Junction, AZ. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday January 30, 2011 at the Palmas Del Sol East Clubhouse in Apache Junction, AZ at 2:00 pm. He was born on June 19, 1938 in Chicago to Madelene and John Kerwin. He married Barbara (Meiners) Collins on December 20, 1981. He was retired from Commonwealth Edison and moved to AZ where he enjoyed the last nine years of his life. He enjoyed the casino, loved to golf, fish and especially loved to dance. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Barbara and 3 Step-children, Crystal Collins, Cathy (Gary) Moats of Ottawa and John (Karen) Collins of Tolono, IL, two sons Jeff and Jay Aicher from a previous marriage and 7 grandchildren: John and Michael Moats, Kaycee and Tim Collins, Jacob and Jonah Aicher, and Kendall Aicher; one brother Bill, one sister Jennette Liebstra and one nephew Donald (Deb) Harke. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, step-father, two brothers, two sisters and one niece. Jerry was laid to rest in the Sanctuary of Seasons in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Oakwood Memorial Park.
