Alexandra L. Cechowicz, 45, of Geneseo, IL, passed away at her home on Thursday, June 26, 2025. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 9 A.M. – 11 A.M. at Vandemore Fuenral Homes and Crematory – Geneseo Chapel. A private burial will take place at Oakwood Memorial Cemetery in Ottawa, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Jeff Cechowicz, to be used for Jocelyn and Jordan’s college funds.
Alexandra was born on July 16, 1979, in Stuttgart, Germany, the daughter of Allan Ross and Jillian Leslie. Alexandra graduated from Geneseo High School Class of 1997 and attended Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. She loved gardening, reading, going to the pool and the beach. She enjoyed kayaking, playing pickelball and taking her dogs on a walk. Alexandra was always lending a hand to others in need. She was an active member at the Geneseo Community Center, where she was a Geneseo Foundation board member. She loved being a mother and was so proud to support her girls at all their athletic events.
Those left to cherish her memory include her parents, Allan and Jillian Ross; husband, Jeffrey Cechowicz of Geneseo, IL, children, Jocelyn Cechowicz and Jordan Cechowicz of Geneseo, IL; brother, Ian (Stephanie) Ross of Cedar Falls, IA; mother and father in law, Joel (Linda) Cechowicz of Ottawa, IL; brother in law, Nicholas (Gina) Cechowicz; sister in law Tiffany Cechowicz; nephews, Vincent Ross and Archer Cechowicz; niece, Arden Cechowicz.
Alexandra was laid to rest in the Garden of Inspiration at Oakwood Memorial Park.
