Carol lived a vibrant and full life. She generously gave her time as a volunteer at the Keeneland horse races, served as an usher at the Lexington Opera House, and was a proud ambassador for Kentucky tourism. She was involved with the Citizen Police Academy in both Lexington and Woodford County and especially enjoyed police ride-alongs.

Travel was one of Carol’s greatest joys. She visited 48 states, with only Washington and Alaska left on her list.

She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s hospital (stjude.org), a cause close to their hearts.

Carol Travi was laid to rest in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Sanctuary of Peace at Oakwood Memorial Park.
