Phillip was born on April 7, 1962 in Ottawa to John and Zoe (Claude) Harkins. He was a graduate of Serena High School, class of 1980. Philip was a part of the Ottawa Rescue Squad. He was always in the kitchen preparing special meals and desserts for not only his family, but for everyone else who he held so dear. When it was that special time of the year for giving, he was always there. His heart was as big as he was. We love you, Phillip.
He is survived by his mother, Zoe; a brother, Christopher (Lisa) Harkins; niece, Hannah Hope and nephew, Samuel John Harkins, who were his pride and joy and love of his life; an aunt, Ardeth Hadley; wife, Linda; and his cat, Rainman.
The family would like to give a special Thank You to the Serena Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his father, John.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
Phillip was laid to rest in the Garden of The Ten Commandments at Oakwood Memorial Park.
