Betty E. Tendall, Oakwood Memorial Park, Ottawa, IL

Betty E. Tendall, 104, formerly of Seneca passed away Thursday, November 14 at Pleasant View in Ottawa, Illinois. She will be buried in Oakwood Park in a private family service at a later date.

Betty was born September 11, 1920 in Miller township to Ernest and Nellie (Stangeland) Larsen. She married Wesley O. Tendall in 1943 in Enterprise, Alabama where he was stationed with the Army. Betty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved being outside, working in her flower gardens. She also loved spending winters in Florida, enjoying the warm weather with family members and many friends. Betty was a long time member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Seneca.

She is survived by two daughters, Lynn A. (Richard) Noon of Fort Myers, Fl and Gail L. (Paul) Schmitz of Ottawa, Il, one son Bruce A. (Katherine) Tendall of Lakeway, Tx., and one son-in-law Ray Rhodes of Alva, Fl. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

Betty was preceded in death by husband Wesley Tendall, daughter Meri S. Rhodes, her parents, brothers Earl and Curt Larsen and sister Marjorie Sand.

Memorials may be directed to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Seneca or Pleasant View Luther Home in Ottawa.

Betty was laid to rest in the Garden of Inspiration at Oakwood Memorial Park.
