Ann Marie Day, 97, of Ottawa, passed away October 24, 2024 at LaSalle County Nursing Home.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30, from 9:00am until 11:00am at Ottawa Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will take place at 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oakwood Memorial Park.
Ann was born October 23, 1927, in Ottawa, IL, to John and Katherine (Stranka) Tuleck. She married Donald Day on February 14, 1948 at St Francis of Assisi Church. He preceded her in death on September 15, 2003.
She worked as an inspector at Borg Warner for many years prior to her retirement. She was an avid animal lover. She was always willing to help out, whether it was family and friends or the neighborhood animals. She was always extremely content being at home and spent as much time as she could with her family, whom she loved dearly.
She is survived by her daughter, Valerie (Jim) Garland; her son, Randy Day; her grandchildren, Trisha (Ryan) Kreiser, Melissa Garland, Matthew (Michelle) Garland, and Mark Janke; her great grandchildren, Sam (Kristen Miller) Garland, Grace Desponett, Josie Cave, Nora Cave, Kegan Sears, Dean Garland, and Emma Garland; and her great great grandchildren, Bishop Garland and one on the way.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, John and Katherine; her husband of 55 years, Donald; her sisters, Stella Trujello, Mary Tuleck and Bernice Heinz; her brother; Ted Tuleck; and her great grandson, Ben Garland.
Pallbearers will be her family members.

Annwas laid to rest in the Garden of Prayer at Oakwood Memorial Park, Ottawa, IL.
