Gloria Antoinette Sigler, 98, of Ottawa, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2024 at LaSalle County Nursing Home.
Visitation will be Friday, September, 13, from 9:00am until 10:00am at Ottawa Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30am on Friday, at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Oakwood Memorial Park.
Gloria was born November 9, 1925, in Ottawa, to Joseph and Mary (DeBernardi) Vittone. She married John Sigler on August 19, 1944 at Pleasantville, NJ. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2003.
She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church and the Altar & Rosary Society and worked for the U.A.W. Center in Ottawa. She enjoyed sewing and taking her trips to Florida and Italy.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Capsel; her daughter in law, Teresa Sigler; her grandchildren, Jason (Brandy) Capsel, Aaron (Jessica) Capsel, Amy (Jim) Kummer, and Brian Sigler; and her great grandchildren, Camry, Carson, Francesca, and Finn Capsel, and Kiara Kummer.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary; her husband of 58 years, John; her son, Rick Sigler; her son in law, Michael Capsel; and her siblings, Jimmy Vittone, Camel Vittone, and Marie Panier.
Memorials may be directed to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Gloria was laid to rest in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in the Sanctuary of Memory at Oakwood Memorial Park.
