Judith R. Norris, 79, of Ottawa, Illinois, passed away June 20, 2024, at Christ Advocate Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:30pm on Saturday, June 29,  2024 at St. Patrick’s Church in Ottawa with Monsignor Philip D. Halfacre officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Ottawa Funeral Home.  Interment will take place at Oakwood Memorial Park following funeral mass.

Judy was born November 15, 1944 in Ottawa, Illinois to Edward L. and Stevonia B. (Blecich) Marco.  She married Robert (Bob) Norris on April 20, 1968 at St. Patrick’s Church in Ottawa.  Judy was a graduate of St. Patrick’s Grade School and Marquette High School.  Judy’s work career started at Mecham Engineering.  From there she ventured to Marbon that evolved to GE Plastics in which she retired from.  For Judy’s love of working, after retirement, she continued with SCI Corporation.

Judy was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Ottawa and Catholic Daughters of America.

Judy will be remembered as an independent woman who had a great love for family.  She had a strong work ethic and she was someone anyone could depend on.

She is survived by her daughter, Renee Norris-Creamean; one granddaughter, Abbey Creamean both of Ottawa, IL; one sister-in-law, Sandra (Terry) McGuire of Beloit, WI; several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob; her brother, John Marco; her brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Sharon Marco; her sister-in-law, Kay Emm.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Marco, Gary McNelis, Dale Hoyd, Nick Marco, Garett McNelis, Eric Mason, and Chris Hammer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to National Shrine of Saint Jude.

Judith was laid to rest in the Garden of The Ten Commandments at Oakwood Memorial Park.
