Paulette Sue Bolf, 70, of Marseilles went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 24, 2021, with her loving husband by her side.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Thursday, December 30 at Ottawa Funeral Home, with Rev. Duane Kaufman officiating. Visitation will be from noon to 2, prior to services, at the funeral home. She will be buried at Oakwood Memorial Park.
Paulette was born November 27, 1951 in Rural Pana Township, IL to Ralph G. and Naomi M. (Stevenson) Sisk. She married Howard R. Bolf on January 1, 1984 in Marseilles.
Paulette received her nursing degree in 1982, and dedicated her life to caring for others in the Ottawa area. She worked for the Community Hospital of Ottawa and several nursing homes, eventually retiring as a caretaker for a local family. Paulette’s sense of humor, big heart, and compassionate nature will be missed by everyone, especially her family.
Paulette loved to crochet and bargain hunt, but she truly loved spending time with her husband. Together they would enjoy a meal at the Brite Spot, or spend hours riding around and admiring the countryside. She loved seeing everything Mother Nature had to offer them, especially wildlife and baby deer. Paulette also enjoyed spending time with her many friends in her Wendy’s and CP’s Ice Cream groups.
She is survived by her husband of almost 38 years, Howard Bolf; two step-children, Lisa (Chris) Harkins and Amy (Joe) Valdez; two step-grandchildren, Hannah Hope and Samuel John; her brother, Ralph (Andrea Sullivan) Sisk of Yorkville; and many nieces and nephews.
Paulette was preceded in death by her parents. She was sadly preceded in death by her two babies, Gary and Loretta, who she is now holding in Heaven.
Memorials may be directed to her family.
