Howard Bell, 81, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2019 at his home in Rochelle, Illinois.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, December 12th, 2019 in the chapel at the Shine of Rest Mausoleum at 1 p.m. with Rev. Rob Hamilton and Rev. Dave Rogula, of First United Methodist Church, in Rochelle, officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa. Visitation will be private. Arrangements are through the Mueller Funeral Home in Ottawa.
Howard was born on July 31, 1938 in Ottawa to Robert and Minnie (Tompkins) Bell. He worked as an installer for Lucent technologies retiring in 1993. He married Thelma Mae Parker on April 25, 1964 in Ottawa. Howard was a member of the United Methodist Church in Rochelle, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife Thelma Mae; two daughters Terri Bell, of Mendota, IL, and Traci (Stacie Tweeten) Bell, of Creston, IL; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sheila (Ed) Haage, of Ottawa.
He was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters and two daughters, Hope Marie Bell in infancy and Toni Bell.
Pallbearers will be Cory Bell, Jonathon Bell, Ed Haage, Brad Haage, Doug Emanualson, and Robert Vincer.
Howard was laid to rest in The Garden of Hymns.
