OTTAWA — Helen C. (Lyle) Meyer, formerly of Ottawa, passed away June 10, 2018, in Battle Creek, Mich. Helen was the daughter of now deceased Earl L. and Grace (Emrich) Lyle, of Utica and Ottawa. She married William H. Meyer at Ottawa Zion Lutheran Church and they were married for over 66 years.
Helen was a graduate of Ottawa schools and a lifetime member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She served her church in various offices including as a member of the Parental Advisory Committee at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Mich. Helen was also a Shaklee supervisor and a literature evangelist for the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, before working and retiring from the Reliable Corporation.
Helen is survived by her husband, William H. Meyer; two daughters, Rebecca (Jeff) Easton, of Berrien Center, Mich., and Sallie Meyer, of Battle Creek; a grandson, Andrew Easton, of Berrien Center; a sister, Arlene Mertel, of Ottawa; and several nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Robert, Paul and Earl Lyle.
Funeral services to celebrate Helen’s life will be at 1 p.m. Monday, June 25, at Oakwood Memorial Park Chapel in Ottawa, where the family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m.
