Michael M. Carr, 86, of Marseilles, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home with Rev. Colleen Lawrence of the First Congregational Church officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Memorial Park in Ottawa. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mike was born October 7, 1931 in Ottawa, to Michael Joseph and Meta (McKeen) Carr. In 1954, he married Rowena Ann Goodman of Needmore, IN who preceded him in death in 2013. Mike owned and operated a medical lab in Marseilles for many years and was later employed by the Ottawa Medical Center until his retirement. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the Marseilles Masonic Lodge #417 AF & AM and an avid fisherman.
He is survived by two sons, Doug (Lisa) of Lawrenceville, GA and Brett (Karol) of Huntsville, AL; five grandchildren; one great granddaughter; one sister, Carol Carr of Marseilles; and one sister-in-law, Sharon Hardwick of Needmore, IN.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann; one son, Tim; and one brother, Tom.
